As many trainers and owners are aware, a major healthcare concern with horse ulcers. Ulcer’s breakdown and erode the stomach lining. Equine gastric ulcers are common to both standard and thoroughbreds in approximately 90% of horses. Horse’s stomachs constantly produce gastric acid 24 hours a day. If a horse stops eating, an ulcer can develop in as little as 1-2 days.

The are two major ulcers that affect horses:

  • Gastric
  • colonic

Telltale signs of ulcers are not always easy to spot. Symptoms of an ulcer can include changes in attitude, eating less, decrease in energy and performance as well as girthiness and sensitivity in the flank area.

STOMA-COAT is a natural antacid providing sources of calcium,
magnesium and zinc for the relief of heartburn, sour stomach, acid
indigestion and to supply gastrointestinal nutrients to support a healthy
GI tract in horses undergoing the stresses of racing, training and
showing.

Guaranteed analysis:Each 28.4g single dose contains:
Calcium (Ca) max.1707 mg/ 30mL
Magnesium (mg) max.1500 mg/ 30mL
Zinc (Zn)51.6 mg/ 30 mL

Indications 

Stoma-Coat is designed for the relief of heartburn, sour stomach, and/or acid indigestion in horses undergoing the stresses of racing, training and showing. Stoma-Coat does not contain aluminum or sodium and is safe for all horses.

Directions for Use: Feed 30-60 mL, 2-3 times per day per 454kg of body weight, plus 40 mL just before work. Foals and horses under 250kg may be fed 50 mL 2-3 times per day as determined by your veterinarian..

Storage

Store in a cool place. Consistency may vary depending upon environmental temperatures and conditions, but this does not affect the performance of the active ingredients.
